2017 Bourgeois Soloist Commemorative LE (#11/12)

$6,800.00

This Bourgeois OMC Soloist Commemorative LE (#11 of 12) is an exceptionally rare masterwork of lutherie, built in March 2017 to pay tribute to the legendary design originally co-developed by Dana Bourgeois and fingerstyle pioneer Eric Schoenberg. Constructed with a striking Bearclaw German Spruce top paired with Premium Cocobolo back and sides, this cutaway Orchestra Model delivers remarkable clarity, rich harmonic complexity, and dynamic headroom. The instrument is framed in refined Ziricote binding with custom purfling, a wood ring rosette, and a multicolor herringbone backstrip, reflecting the highest level of craftsmanship. Featuring a Ziricote headstock veneer with a bone logo inlay, it comes complete with a limited-edition signature label.

Tailored for responsive fingerpicking and flatpicking alike, the guitar features a 14-fret ebony fingerboard adorned with short-pattern bone slotted squares and diamonds, a versatile 1 3/4" nut width, and a long scale length. The bridge setup features an ebony pyramid bridge with 2 5/16" string spacing and triangle inlay, paired with antique walrus bridge pins with black dots and gold Waverly tuners with ebony buttons. Finished with a smooth satin neck and a full-gloss body, this rare Schoenberg-inspired Soloist offers elite playability, heirloom-quality aesthetic detail, and world-class acoustic voice.
