(FON: 2148-42) Built during the height of World War II metal restrictions, this example showcases a rigid non-truss rod mahogany neck with a full, comfortable profile that maximizes soundboard coupling and direct vibrational energy transfer. Visually distinctive details include an original firestripe celluloid pickguard paired with refined multi-ply purfling around the top and soundhole rosette, offering an elevated aesthetic rarely seen on wartime LG-2 appointments. Offered in excellent overall condition, the instrument exhibits stable, expert repairs to a side crack and a minor, superficial top crack.
