The Founder,  Peter Furmato

I picked up my first guitar when I was 12, and from that day forward, it’s been at the center of my life. What started as a kid’s curiosity turned into a full-blown obsession—an endless admiration for the instrument and the music that flows from it. One thing that’s always fascinated me is how every guitar has its own voice. Even two of the same model can sound and feel completely different, pulling out something new in the way I play. That magic—the individuality and soul of each guitar—is what I’ve been chasing ever since.

Along the way, I built a career as a touring and session guitarist, and I’ve spent time on the other side of the glass as a producer and audio engineer. During a stint at EastSide Sound in Manhattan, I was lucky enough to be mentored by Lou Holtzman, who pushed me to refine my ear and hold everything I do to a higher standard of audio excellence. Those experiences taught me not only how to hear the details, but how to recognize when an instrument truly has that spark.Outside of music, I’ve also spent years as a successful medical and pharmaceutical sales rep. That world taught me the value of relationships, trust, and doing honest business. Integrity and character might sound old-fashioned these days, but to me they’re non-negotiable.
